The Christmas Fair on Saturday, 16 December 2017, at Lucita International Preschool has been a great success and left many unforgettable impressions for parents, students and participants.
From the beginning of the week, the weather suddenly became cold with the drizzle which caused Lucita and parents worried. Fortunately, on Saturday morning, the weather was better, the sun shined and brought the first good signal for the Lucita Christmas Fair.
The high pine tree stands proudly in the middle of the path leading to the school was decorated with natural materials such as pine cones, boughs, reindeer and wooden snowmen, etc. as the spirit of the Waldorf / Steiner education which were made by the Lucita’s teachers and staff.
One hour before the event, the booths were quickly and beautifully decorated with all kinds of goods: ready-made food and organic ingredients like grilled meat and chicken legs, Kimchi, dried fish, non-GMO soybean milk, homemade bread and cakes, etc.; fashion for children and adults, ornaments; flowers, ornamental plants, books, wooden toys; other games for children like statue painting, sand pictures making, art balloons, etc. which are prepared by Lucita International Kindergarten’s parents and staff.
Sellers and buyers were busy in the Christmas atmosphere. The fair was filled up with the smile and love.
At 15h30, the Christmas Carols show began. The opening act of Tulip 1 and Tulip 2 with Lucita Song and Christmas Carols drew the attention of the guests onto the stage. The program includes live performances: Indian Dance, Yoga and Singing by talented Lucita students and Jingle Bells, Silver Bells, Jingle Bells Rock dances by Lucita teachers and staff.
The most popular performance was the magic show by Mr. Tiến or ‘”our uncle talented caretaker” – as the way students often admire him. Watching him gracefully performed each move in the admiration of the children in and out of school, Lucita is happy that we fulfilled the mission of bringing a warm and loveful Christmas.
At 19h00 our fair ended, the booth began to clean up. The profit is deducted in part and sent to charity “Lucita – beautiful heart” fund to help the less fortunate children get more warm clothes, meals or furthermore “A dream school”.
